Formula Rendezvous 2007
      August 2-4 2007

Jackie & Rob

We take a weekend excursion to Port Huron on our friend's Formula Fastec 382 for the Sun Sport Marine Rendezvous.

Heading Across Lake St. Clair

This was fun cruising with a "boat load" of Formula boats across Lake St. Clair off of the Clinton River heading for the South Channel. There was a helicopter hovering low overhead right on top of us to get some great shots!

We took the South Channel up from Lake St. Clair to Port Huron. We were running with various size Formula boats. This allowed us to avoid the no wake zones and make pretty good time at top speeds.

Arriving at Port Huron

We pulled into Bridge Harbor Marina, after motoring down the Black River through Port Huron. We were assigned prime docking spot in the front.

Out Into Lake Huron

Saturday afternoon we took a spin
the short way north under the
Bluewater Bridge and out into Lake
Huron. We found a spot on a sand
bar and stopped to relax and wash
the boat.

Heading Home on Sunday
Under grey skies and a little drizzle, we made our way back to MacRay Harbor. Coming back through the North Channel we cranked it up a little bit and had a "run in" with some crazy jet skiers. Make sure to check out the video!

Our gracious hosts allowed us to stay at their lovely home, located literally on the St. Clair River. This was just a short ways south of the Rendezvous. It is great watching the boat traffic go by.

See the some video from this great trip!
