Evening Dinghy Ride

After Dinner Ride
The weather was nice so
 we  took  another  trip out.

On The Water
The dinghy afforded us a nice trip around the east side of
South Benjamin to see the Sows and Pigs rock formations.

Breathtaking Views
The calm blue water and sun on the rocks looked spectacular. Although you can
traverse 'some' of their area by boat, using the dinghy allowed for a much safer
route.  We felt very comfortable  motoring though here, even without any charts.

Clear Water!
Gina took a few underwater pics .

Up Close
Right next to the rocks.

At Anchor

Our Own Private Cove
This just may be the best darn anchorage spot we've come across so
far. With the tall cliffs and trees on three side it was truly an ideal spot.

Calm Waters
The smooth water and western sun
cast a beautiful reflection of the boat.

Secure
Not much wind, and the boat
hardly ever moved from this spot.

What a View!
With  the bow  pointed north and both stern lines tied to shore, we had
an ideal view of the harbor between North and South Benjamin Islands..

Close to Shore
The anchorage was only a few hundred feet from the rocky shore and our 'Porch'.

At Sundown

Sunset at the Benjamin's
The sky was a bluish magenta and  as the sun went down we had a great view from our Porch.
There was about a dozen boats at anchor this evening, about half were sailboats.  We did have
a  couple  paddle over  in their canoe to say hello.  They said they were  drawn to us by our fire.

Relaxing
An after dinner drink and a cigar by the fire as the sun was setting. This was the perfect ending to our first day at South Benjamin Island.
